G'Day,
I stayed 3 days at your place, last year in october.
And I just wanted to thank you for the great time I had. Thank you all,
and especially Shane for his great pacience while trying to make me
familiar with your motorcycles.
I really loved your place and I hope you all are good!
By the way, how is your calf Heidi? She is probably not one anymore but
she was when I saw her :)
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I hope you'll have a good time!
Regards,
Ifee
PS: I tried Olive's Meat Pie and everyone liked it, so thanks for the
recipe. |

Dear
Pete and family,
In 2009 we stayed at your farm and enjoyed everything. As we are getting
married in country life style we need a country desert. This is
when we remembered your apple crumble on the gridddle and other
fresh deserts. I would like to ask you if it is possible that we could
get some of your recipes or even the different names of your deserts.
I hope everything is ok,
Greetings from Holland, Arjan Roos |

Hello
lovely family.
last month I visited will pj and the oz exposure, I went many places on
my travels and saw lots of big things. but nothing was as big as your
families hearts and love you gave to your animals and guest, I only
visited for a couple days but I often think and miss the beauty and
simplicity of your home.

Dear
Lyn,
we do
hope everything is fine with you, your family and the whole farm. We
are now back in Germany, in a very very cold Germany, and wanted to
know what happened to your pregnant cow. Did she have her Baby Calve,
and is it a boy or a girl? It was really interesting the stay on your
farm, but unfortunately for us the weather was not very friendly. We
wish you and the whole family a Merry Christmas and all the best for
the upcoming New Year.
Best
Regards
Egon & Renate

Hi Lyn,
You wont remember me because it was a long time ago when i was on
holiday at Myella, October 1997. If i remember right there were 3
swedish guys and me in bunk beds. It looks a lot bigger now .I was
putting on the tee-shirt the other day that i bought at the
farm,"yes i've still got it" and it's still fits, and i
wondered if you were on the computer. I still remember the holiday
vividlly especially the horses where i got sore legs bringing in the
cattle. I do remember the gate breaking down and it had to be welded. Ar
well, happy days. I hope the family is ok, if so tell Peter i still
remember his home brew.
All the very best, Phil Bannister

Dear Myella
Team,
I just had to say a massive thank you for an amazing 2 days on the farm.
I had so much fun, didn't stop smiling the whole time! I did so many new
things that I would never have got to do in a city! I can now go back
and brag to my friends about all the things I've done. So thanks again,
I felt really alive on the farm!
I felt really sad leaving the farm and would love to come back to work
for a couple of months if you'd have me. So if you need someone to wash
dishes, clean toilets, feed the animals, laugh at Lyn's jokes then give
me a buzz, I won't take it personally if you don't need someone right
now!
Either way, thanks again, the Myella farm stay has been the highlight of
my trip so far.

Thanks to all
for a wonderful stay at Myella. I can recommend that families look in
their back yard before venturing overseas and I have travelled. Our
Myella stay has changed Jaryd's perception of himself for the better.
The Myella experience gives kids confidence to do things other than
playing games, this is reality dealing with people and animals. The best
part is it was fun. Thanks Trevor for showing us the nature of horses,
Shane for the motorbikes, Lynn, Olive and Peter for making a difference,
sharing your wisdom, poems and true nature of the bush. Oh and great
meals. We loved it.
Stay well. Clarke & Jaryd |

Hello
Lyn, Olive and Pete
You
may not remember us but we fondly remember our stay with you in April 2007
We
have just returned from another marvellous farmstay north of
Tamworth NSW. While there, the children had a great time but daily
comments were made eg, “not as good as Myella”,
“remember at Myella when..”, “ Myella food was the best”,
“Lyn let me climb the fence”, “Bear is still my favourite horse”
For
the children to remember their Myella experiences so vividly ,when
it was quite some time ago, has made us realise what a significant
impact Myella hospitality, dust and tiring days had on them.
Now,
what can a parent do with this insight …..visit you again ….of course!
So
we’ll start planning if you can keep the billy boiling.
We
are excited already
See
you next year,
Ken, Vicki, Shane, Jaclyn, Danielle (Central Coast NSW)
P.S
hope your weather has been reliable, the children now take notice of
Rockhampton weather. Wow, bushfires and floods in the last year !!
Hope you are all safe and well. |

Hello
Lynn,
how are you, everything fine? I am not quite sure, if you still remember
me, however, I just found a picture of me (Heike on xxxx) on your
homepage.
A friend of mine is planning to go to OZ end of the year and I
recommended to also visit Myella. How funny, when I told him the
homepage address to find a poem of Sophie (do you know, she is on a
world trip???) and to find my old letter of 2007 and pictures of me.
Anyway - I hope, you are doing fine, give a huge hug to your parents and
Trevor.
Take care and say
hello to Sophie, when she arrives

Many
thanks for my stay with you; a few pix will follow once I find the

Best

Bought boots and hat at Georges, near the Irish pub O'Dowde In
Rocky; found out too late that most stores were closing by 1 pm on
Saturday; thanksfully the Tourism Office sent me to them (albeit with
the wrong street corner) and they kindly staid open for me to do
my purchases.

Hi
Lyn, Olive and Peter, We are safely back in New Zealand, and it’s
great to be home. We want you to know how much we enjoyed our brief time
with you, and how much we appreciate you generosity and hospitality. It
was a highlight of our holiday really, and we will be talking about
billy tea, toasting over embers, and kangaroo’s greeting us on the
deck in the morning , for a long time I’m sure.
Once
again our sincere thanks and warm regards, Rob and Jean Silcock.

Dear Peter,
Olive, Lyn & team
I just wanted to say thank you again for the great time I had last
week at Myella. It was exactly the break I needed and I met some
really interesting people during my stay.
I meant to pass on my regards to Shane and John the builder.
Keep up the good work and I hope to visit again with my sister and
nephews next time I am back in Oz as I know they would love it too.
Thanks again & please say hello to everyone for me :0)

Hi
Lynn and everyone,
Well,
we finally managed to get home! I have to admit to wanting to
stay on a lot longer with you, as we both had a lovely time.
Back here it is spring, cows are calving, and there is a lot of
beautiful blossom about. But – it is sooooo cold! We are
lucky to get to double figures during the daytime, and a frost is
forecast for tonight. Definitely colder than usual for the time
of year.
And
the volcanic dust cloud is still about and disrupting airspace in
Europe now.
We
have given your leaflets to our local travel agent who likes to book
holidays for people who want something different. They were
impressed, and we said we could totally recommend Myella.
Wishing
we were still back with you, and maybe we could come again sometime,
although it won’t be for a few years yet.
Best
wishes to you all
Pam and Phil Walker.

Hi Lyn Olive
and Peter
Hope you all had a lovely relaxing Christmas and New Year and that the
rain kept coming for you too.
Thank you for your hospitality and beautiful home cooked meals, and
to let you know that Holly and I had really wonderful and relaxing time
with you. Will let you know when we come again.
As we drove down the drive to the road and near the gate entrance, there
was this magnificent wedge-tailed eagle sitting on the fence post, he or
she was huge, never seen one in the wild before, the wing-span must have
been at least 2 metres from wing tip to wing tip and stood about 2
metres, and those talons wow. That was a real treat.
Holly goes into grade 5 this year, time flies.
All the best for 2010. Take care.

Dear Lyn,Olive
and Peter,
Back in the Netherlands, back in the cold -10 celcius, we look back at a
lovely trip to Australia. Visiting you was defenately one of the high
lights of our two months trip through Astralia. Our little son, Oliver,
is still telling lots of stories about his friends, pink floyd, Harry
(for whom he searched for new new feathers), the little Kangeroo and
chocolat the horse you allowed him to have a go on. For a three year
old.... amazing how many he can tell about our three days at Myella. I
will send you some good pictures, who were here in the Netherlands great
adds for people, now wanting to stay at your place to!
Anyway, wish you and your family all the best for 2010. We are still
surprised how you can really connect to people in such short time. I
think just being yourselves does the trick. |

Hi Lyn.
I know it's a long time ago and you must have had lots og guest since we
were at Myella. I just want to tell you, that our stay at Myella was
something very very special for all of us. As you know we travelled for
some months last year but the stay at your place WAS something special.
Cilie asked the other day if we could visit you all again. Then she
could look after the stone she burried a secret place and just be at the
place she liked so much. Her new year resolution was to improve her
riding so her chances in many years ahead would be better if you
want to hire her. Yes....you got a special place in her heart. -- And in
ours. Lyn - a very happy new year to you and your family from Hans,
Benedicte and Cilie..... on the other side of the world. |
