Hi!:-)
I am still missing you all... and "my" horse, which I`ve
learned to ride (no fears anymore!) ... and the nice birds...the nice
room...the fantastic food.... the farm... I`m still missing everything!
The days at your farm have been the best of my whole Australia trip!
Thanks a lot!

What
a fantastic two days! Myella Farm stay has been a highlight of my trip
so far. The farm is beautiful, horses in great condition and well looked
after, clean rooms, excellent home cooked food and everyone there were
all really friendly- including the pet birds!! Shane was such a genuine,
honest guy who really was a star and even got me riding a motorbike
which I never thought I'd do in a million years! Patience of a saint!
Would recommend to anyone thinking of going!

Hi
Lyn, Peter, Olive and Shane
I just wanted to thank you for an excellent couple of days last week (13
& 14 Sept). I got to do everything I wanted to do - crack a
whip, ride a motor bike (albeit poorly) and hand milk a cow.
Everything about Myella was great, from the activities, to the
accommodation and the food. Shane was an excellent guide - he
yelled at me, so I yelled back at him (when he was trying to
teach me to ride the bike) :-)
but he was wealth of knowledge. I especially enjoyed the
horse ride and particularly that we were mustering cattle the first day
and trying to find the sneaky buggers the next day. It added to
the 'working farm' experience rather than just going for a ride for the
sake of it.
So, thank you again for a terrific time and I'm working on organising
another visit next year.
Cheers

We,
have just returned from a weekend farm stay at MYELLA FARM STAY, at
Baralaba. We arrived at 3pm Saturday, and enjoyed on arrival, home
made biscuits and coffee. Were shown to our spotless rooms with adjacent
bathroom facilities. Freshly laundered linen. We explored
some of the grounds. We helped with the milking of the three cows.
Gathered the eggs, and made friends with the two talking Galahs and the
one feathered Cockatoo “Harry”. They all make their presence
known, walking around saying “Hello” or “What are you doing?”
We
enjoyed our Barbeque Beef dinner and four veggies followed by sweets, in
the covered outdoor eating area, and were entertained with poetry by the
owner Lyn, while sitting around the enclosed campfire, consuming billy
tea.
Next
morning a full breakfast; cooking our toast over the open fire; and
further property inspection.
For
those more energetic, for an extra charge, horse riding and motor bike
riding is available.
We
found our stay reasonably priced, very enjoyable, and if we had more
time would have stayed longer.

Comments: We were
willing to escape from our journey on the West coast for 2 days. The
Myella Farm was perfect. You share the life of friendly hosts and it is
quite interesting to have discussions with them besides the fire camp
during dinners. There are multiple activities (motorbike lessons, horse
riding, tour farm during which we were happy to see a snake, wild
kangourous, milking cows, red earth).

Hi
Lyn,
I hope you are well, and your father is recovering. My husband, Scott,
and two daughters, Hannah and Kiera, stayed with you, in our caravan, in
September 26th and 27th 2011.
We had a lovely time. Because yourself and staff were so wonderful,
but also because the Nunn boys (Ripleigh, Chris, Daniel and Brodey)
were there and kept our girls entertained.
We are thinking about a week-long farm stay for these holidays (around
14th July, give or take). I was wondering if, by any chance, the Nunn
boys were staying with you again?
Because you are 1,500k's from home, it is unlikely that we could
venture that far, but we had such a lovely time it might be worth it
if we knew our girls would have friends that they knew they would have
fun with. BTW you had a favourite, completely silly, joke that cracked
me up. I don't suppose you remember it do you? I can't for the life of
me remember what it was, I just know it was totally silly.

Hi Lyn,
Hereby
the pictures from the famous actress with her fans as promised.
We
drove up to Yeppoon and stay on a nice campsite near the beach.
But
we will miss the farm! We really enjoyed our stay at your nice place
whit special friendly people.
If
we're ever gonna be back near Baralaba we come back, the only
thing that we will skip than is the hospital sightseeing.
Thanks
for all the help and taxi to the hospital.
Say
hi to everybody and good luck with your family and farm.

Hello
Olive,Lyn
Just
a quick hello from England. We were with you for 5 days in August
2005-Ray,Jackie-Mollie 9 and George 11 and Jackie’s mum Betty who
was 66/67 at the time at the time. I hope you remember her as
you all encouraged her to get on the back of a horse in the yard Alas,
she died this year, January, after a dogged fight against
peritoneal cancer. She talked fondly of 9 week stay in Australia and
especially Myella-it was a favourite of hers-having never been near a
horse in her entire life. I know you have had thousands of guests at the
farm, but maybe not so many seniors so I do hope you may recall her
visit. She always wanted a return-alas now only in spirit. We hope to
visit Australia again in a couple of years and your farm will be the
head of the list as things to do. George is now 18 and is going to
University to study medicine-Mollie in her last year at school. Time
flies. Glad to see the Farm survived the serious flood a while back-you
were in our thoughts. Hope you are all well
One
final thing before I sign off. Betty was so impressed with the way you
did the breakfast egg with the middle of the bread cut out-a simple
thing-but she took the idea back to England and always did it
that way. She was a waitress at the Palms hotel where she lived,
took
the idea there and they too adopted the Myella way. Will speak soon

Hi
Lyn and all at Myella,
Helen
and I watched the Queensland Weekender episode on the Dawson Valley,
today, which included Myella Farm Stay. It was very good and it was
great to visit Myella again via the TV. We can see why Trevor kept
talking about the female presenter when he mentioned the show whilst we
were at Myella.
How
is “Hobo” ? We hope he is now part of the family.
Our
best wishes to all at Myella.

Hi
Lyn,
Thank
you for the information regarding Hobo and pleased to hear he is
recovering well. A lovely natured dog. Vet services are expensive but if
you like animals then we seem to find the money. We think around 18 to
19 kg is probably a good weight. Maybe the vet can comment further.
We
had a great holiday in the Rocky area and of course at Myella and
Baralaba. We both agreed that we should have spent more time in
Queensland. Norfolk Island was interesting and the scenery spectacular.
So much history on the Island. Helen and I enjoy that type of holiday as
siting around a swimming pool at a hotel is not our sort of holiday. We
are all different.
We
have attached a couple of photographs of our dog, Katie and one of my
toys.
All
the best to you, Olive and Peter. Don’t work to hard and look forward
to that wedding.

Hi
Lyn,
From
the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for helping make a
difference in our daughter's life, through your kind donation to A
Day on the Deck for Claire. With funds raised, we have been able
to purchase for Claire a monkey standing frame and her first pair
of orthotics, and to plan for therapies and activities that will
enhance her development and her quality of life.
Your generous donation made a great prize in our cent auction,
helping it to be a huge success!
Thank you for the time, effort and expense involved in supporting
this event. Please find attached a certificate of appreciation.
Thank
you so much for a wonderful stay at your farm last month.
We
truly enjoyed our 3 days at Myella and our kids still talk about your
horses, the young calf, collecting eggs, milking cows… and of course
your lawn mover J
We
are back in Copenhagen now. The temperature is minus 8c and will reach
minus 15c during the weekend. With different, very cold and very dry
compared to our afternoons at your veranda.
We
really hope to see you Denmark sometime soon and as mentioned our home
is your home when you get here. Somehow, we have lost Trevors e-mail
address. Could you please send it through?
All
the best from
Rosa, Clara, Carl Oscar, Viktor, Helle & Michael
Dear
Michael,
Thank
you for the kind words. I was telling my brother in law (who use
to do triathlons) about your desert runs…very interesting, what was it
called again ?? I was most fascinated about the shoe sizes two sizes
bigger and the alone feeling you talked about. And thanks for the
picture, you have a lovely family….and we all remember you
fondly….and thanks for sharing the pictures of your home,,,not many
guests do that and it lets us understand your world a little better.
Say hi
to the family,,,and have a nice day
Warm Regards
Lyn
PS
am putting a photo competition on the web site soon and a video
completion for those who have the birds talking!!
Thanks,
Lyn.
The
competition is Sahara is called 4deserts (www.4deserts.com) – your
brother in law should try it See Photos).

Hey
Lyn,
My son thought the paper
bags on the Mango tree meant it was a Party Bag tree.....he was so
disappointed when I told him it was Mangos and not Lollies!.
